A good comparision article on floor jacks: http://www.vorshlag.com/tech_jacks1.php
I bought the AFF 200T jack since the AC jack has almost doubled in price. I like it so far.

This is a shame if true. Craftsman used to be better. I am still using a two-ton Craftsman floor jack I bought in the mid-1980s when I was racing Triumphs. I have used it on 10 different cars, including my 1-ton Dodge van, and it's still working perfectly with zero maintenance. In fact, I just bought the Pelican Parts jack pad, which fits on the lifting arm perfectly, and allows me to lift the 993 securely from the stock lifting points without running the car up on blocks.

(My car is halfway between ROW and RS height.)

(And for that matter I'm still using a Craftsman air compressor I bought somewhere around 1980. I've painted 10 cars with it, ported heads, run air tools...changed the oil maybe three times. Now it's in its dotage and seldom does more than remove wheels and pump up tires....)

I bought the 2 ton sears aluminum jack last November.Used for about 15-20 times and then it stopped lifting.I checked the oil level which was ok,added a bit more, still nothing.Since I bought it over 90 days it was non returnable, exchange only, per Sears employee.I said ok,but I was told that they have to order one and its going to take between three and four weeks since they dont have it in stock.
After a little "wrestling" I was able to get my money back(about $187).
I went to look at two others SEARS stores ;same thing they dont have them.
Are they in such demand or they are discontinued?
Anyway I dont recommend' em to anyone. Now Im in a search for a GOOD one ,I always try to buy US made but nowadays seems everything is made in China(junk).
Later...
