Default fidanza aluminum dual-mass flywheel

After 156K it is time for a clutch. Performance parts sells a dual mass, aluminum(2024 billet with 1050 carbon steel friction insert) flywheel. does anyone have experience with this? Or if you have a positive review of a specific flywheel, please let me know.
Thanks
Omilu

I always worry about that steel insert working its way loose. Probably ok to use if engineered (and assembled) correctly.

I have no experience with these flywheels, sorry.

What is the static weight?

forget about an aftermarket dual mass flywheel, IMHO best to go with either the OEM or better yet an RS flywheel.

should have no impact. the perfect combo would be the RS flywheel and regeared tranny

I would stick with the factory 964 RS LWF, Porsche still use it today on the 996 GT3RS and you're unlikely to have any of the problems that you read about with Fidanza. The price is about the same if not slightly cheaper when purchased from someone like Sunset Imports. Also make sure your new pressure plate does not have a blue paint mark on the face. A lot of suppliers sell the stock 964 pressure plate as an "RS" upgrade but in reality the stock 993 pressure has a greater clamping force.
