Default Front diff oil seepage - worrysome?

Guys, here is a picture of my 1996 C4 front diff (109k miles, daily driver). The fluid level in the differential appears fine and there is no dripping, but obviously there is some seepage (on the back driveshaft side? top of the pic) to which the dirt sticks.

Is it something to worry about right away (and what would be a typical cost of sealing off the diff) or do they just stay wet like that for a long time without problems?

thanks

George

Other than verifying proper oil level, I wouldnt worry about until it strarts to leave drop on the ground (via front plastic cover).

George,

That doesn't look too bad at all. You might want to clean things up a bit and take another look in a couple of months.

My bill was $485.00.

It was $337 for labor (4hrs roughly at $85), $10 for transmissioin fluid, and I believe it was 6 seals.
