Default Becker Monza

Just replaced CDR210 with a Becker Monza from SW Stereo. They shipped it overnight with DIN removal tools and a hook-up for an IPOD. It took me about 15 minutes to make the swap. It looks stock and I noticed a significant improvement even with the stock 10 year old speakers. I do not have the hi-fi option.

Anyways, Stefan from SW Stereo was very helpful and volunteered to walk me through the installation over the phone if there were any issues. It was very easy. Only issue: I can only get about 3 am stations due to the european tuning.

Got any pics of it in the car??? I was thinking about the traffic pro, but don't know if it will look too modern.

I will try to shoot some pics tonight. The until itself matches the black trim on the dash. The buttons are a little "shiny". I guess the other choice would be a CDR 220(for an IPOD).

Is that the 7882 model? I like that solution. I have lots of cds and mp3 files and it works with the cd changer. Assuming you nab that for the ipod.

Does SW Stereo have a website?

www.swstereo.com

I got the 7886 model with the light yellow background lighting. For the IPOD, SW Stereo includes a short plug- in which terminates in two phono plugs. Then, you get a AV cable for the IPOD and plug it in.

So that av cable provides power to the ipod? And that uses the aux port where you'd connect the cd changer?

thanks Mark

AV cable does not provide power; only signal. Yes, it does use the AUX port.

Mark: Are you still happy with the Becker Monza upgrade. Any chance of pics? How would you compare it to the cdr 220 as an upgrade to the 210 in terms of audio quality and its "Porscheness"
Thanks
Jack
