Default 3 spoke airbag question

Does it wire up the same as the stock 993 wheel? Do I use my clock spring, or does one have to come with the 3 spoke bag to work correctly? Still looking for one (black) if anyone has one to let go of.

Yup, it wires up just the same. I did the entire R&R in about 20 mins, most of that spent with the torx screws that attach the bag to the wheel.

yes it is the same,
take care to unplug the battery,
keep your keys at least 10 meters away from the car, a transponder question they say,
while tightening the new airbag, the hex screws should go in easily all the threads of the nuts on the airbag, if tight, DO NOT FORCE. it is not always evident for the hex screws to go in perpendicular and catch the right thread.
there is two nuts soldered inside the airbag, if the thread is not in right, you will break the solder and the nut will fall inside the airbag mechanism and loose the airbag.

You're welcome Chris,
please do not under estimate placing the keys far from the car.
I have got the notice on a porsche document.
You made the right decision in changing to three spoke.
The difference is like heaven and earth, and you will get an updated airbag (lifespan 7-10 years)
