Question Purflux oil filters

They are now used on some of the older Mercedes engines. They are sold for the M103 engine for sure.

I’ve previously used Mann, Mahle, Bosch, or Knecht filters on Mercedes and Porsche. I believe the Purflux have been rated as having better filtration.

From the Purflux website they say: “ PURFLUX’s Research and Development teams have, over a 40 year period, gained complete mastery of media processing technologies with both chevron and straight pleating. They have taken this to a higher level still, with their recently developed curve pleat”

My question is are the Purflux filters better than what I was using? They certainly are much smaller that the ones I’ve been using, like at least 25% smaller.
