Hi guys,

Could anyone give me an insight whether is is possible to have a manual transmission conversion for a 97 - 993 Tip?

Grateful if I can have the details parts and suggestion as well... many thanks!

From what I understand, it's extremely possible, but a big pain in the rear to do. Easier/cheaper to sell the tip and buy a six speed car. Apart from swapping out the tranny, there's a whole new pedal assembly, (plus different floorboard and carpet...) speedometer and various electronic differences (like reverse light actuation) that you think would be simple, but turns out not to be.

Might be something you could do yourself, but I would be very hesitant to pay a shop the hourly labor to do the swap.

Thanks so much for the comments, in fact it's extremely rare to get a manual tran in HK, don't even think about a good condition, am lacking of luck in past 2 yrs time... will try to touch base with Winsome and see...
