New 993 TT in the stable....
http://web.mac.com/mleds/iWeb/Site/Library%202.html
I took delivery of a 1997 TT today and wanted to give my first impressions. My other car is a 1996 cab. All that I can say is wow! to the extra HP.
Immediately upon arrival I noticed how extremely low the car was sitting. My cab has the Bilstein HDs while the turbo has the PSS9s. I am not sure where they are set firmness-wise yet, but I am certain that I will raise the car a little.
The car is in better condition than I thought it would be. It is well optioned and has 30,900 miles on it.
The horsepower is unbelievable as is the stiffness of the chassis in comparison to a cab. When I first got my cab (first 993 was a 1995 in 1998) I thought the chassis stiffness comments were BS because the car performed so fabulously. Well, I ran a local road called Sepulveda tonight at least 5 round trips and there is a huge difference in handling and confidence that the car instills into the driver. There is virtually no body roll/flex.
The PSS9 is much stiffer than the Bilstein/HR package, and the handling is equally better. I am not certain though that the PSS9 is for me to cruise on daily, but also know that they are probably not yet set to a soft setting.
I also found the Turbo to brake better over uneven road, although I do not like the feel of the brake pedal yet. I think that there is a difference in how the brakes get pressure between the 2 cars.
Question: if a tire were rubbing a wheel well, would I know it for certain?????
Anyway, thanks RL members for helping me get the car looked at in Madison, WI (Seljan), and thanks for all the recommendations and comments from other members.
More photos to follow as upgrades are achieved.

Congrats again Michael, its a beautiful car. Def. looks a bit low though but that should be easily adjusted. Love those painted back sport seats. If you decide you really dont like the PSS9s we'll talk.

Mike, great looking Turbo, the color personifies the design. Don't be too hard on the 96 cab performance versus the Turbo. Afterall, that's why there is a significant price difference. If you did not notice a difference in handling than you wasted your money. There's more to a turbo than just a big wing and more HP. My first 993 was a 95 purchased in 99 and never was concerned about body roll or loose handling, even with it being a cab. Your Turbo suspension is likely set up for track DE's. The PSS9's coil overs are also twice as expensive as the H&R/Bilstein set up. Can't go wrong with a sophisticated 993 cab and a kick ars 993 turbo in the same stable.

Congrats on the car!
The ride height looks pretty low, which is not a bad thing, but might present problems on dips and driveways. Try adjusting your PSS-9 settings to 7-9 before you judge the ride harshness. On a soft setting, I thought my previous PSS-9's were darn-near plush.
BTW, you look waaaaay too young to be bitchin' about the ride quality of your shocks.

Very nice. Boy you can really tell the difference between arctic and polar in some of those parking garage pictures. Looks to me like you have the perfect stable now. All you need is something like an S8 to round it out! Congratulations on the buy.
