I should clarify/expound upon my earlier comment. Mine leaked when it rained really hard. I always disclosed this even before being asked. Although that was usually one of the first questions I got. And, yes, despite being a targa/tip, mine saw a caning at the track quite a few times. Your results may vary.

I love my black/black 97 targa. No leaks and no problems after 2 years of ownership. The PO had the seals replaces do to age. I think targas do carry a premium based on production numbers and "kewl" factor. I think low to mid $40k with those miles.
