Question Water Logged??

I need your help. I've been having trouble cranking on my 993 after the engine compartment gets wet (i.e., Car Wash, Rain Storm, etc,...)!

Today I almost killed my battery trying to start her!

I believe that it has to be some loose connection or sensor that's getting wet & giving me this trouble. Any thoughts?

TIA, I'll get my Mechanic to check this out ASAP and will share the results with this great 993 board!

BTW, I almost bought a new battery today and the battery is the same as the one in the 964 series (alot is interchangeable b/w 964 & 993)!

Probably a wet sensor or connector. Used to happen on my old BMW all the time. The connectors on the 993 look the same, just start twisting them open and used compressed air to blow out the water.

By the way, commercial car washes are terrible for both the finish and for the amount of water that gets into the engine compartment. I hope that you meant car wash by hand!
