Do the mirrors work well ? Compared with the factory ones ?
Thanks,

Gregg,
The mirrors take some getting used to... they are smaller and convex. The driver's side is closer, so the virtual glass area is about the same as stock. The pass mirror appears really tiny. I would say they are not as effective as the stock mirrors.
But... here's why they are safer... improved aero... everyone knows that freeway merges at 208mph is safer than 205. At least that's what I told my wife.

Steve,
The mirror areas are smaller. The trick is place them to eliminate the blind spots, and let the rear-view mirror take care of the rest. I had the car now fro 2.5 years and I am totally fine with how the mirrors work. But then I have never had stock mirrors to comapre.
My mirrors are not convex. Can you post a pic of the mirror surfaces? Wheer did you get your mirrors, Roland?

RUF spec these aero mirrors not for looks, but for top-speed enhancement. My PO (in Germany) topped out at 192 MPH with stock mirrors. RUF installed the rain-gutter inserts and changed to the aero mirrors, he raised the top speed to 196 MPH. Obviousely I have no way to verify that it is true.
I guess others see these mirrors and love them for the obvious function, the coolness, and the rarity of the item. I don't know how many people actually evaluate these mirrors purely on looks alone.

Sorry, shp, I don't know anything but how to post pictures here in the thread.

Chris,
Thanks for your comments. don't you think it needs yellow calipers? BIG yellow calipers? Someday, perhaps I'll be able to swing it.
Pong,
Yes, the mirrors are Roland's discards. Thnaks for your insight on the functionality of the mirrors... not that either you or I will ever get near our cars' terminal velocity. But nice to know its there.
