I just ordered the part from Phil @ http://www.sunsetimports.com/porscheparts.php
Cost $ 39.00 dollars plus shipping. The local dealer wanted $ 77.00 dollars.

Water & Hydrolock?
Will be adding a fixed wing later, so will be installing this. Searched the older posts but couldn't find anything re: taking in water through this intake elbow.
Would seem likely to suck in water when raining, probably more so sitting in traffic in heavy rain. Anyone have any feedback on this?
The intake elbow has a little bulge on the outside of the turn that might have been designed for a hole to drain water? What is that thing for?

At the elbow there is a hole for the water to escape.
I have the trumpet intake and have used it w/ stock air box and the motorsound airbox.
Current set up is with the MotorSound. The car was much quieter w/ the stock airbox.
