cool! learned something new today! thanks
This weekend I saw a narrow body with some 295/30 x18's on the rear. I talked to him at the track and we removed one of his, one of mine and I put it on. It worked with clearence, I didn't run it at all but looked like it would be fine as I have an aggresive street/track alingment.
I tried it because I just picked up some 10"x18" turbo twist with a 65 ET. That is what this guy was running, a 65 ET on his turbo twists with NO rolled fenders all stock. YMMV

seems like different brand tires can vary in size.
michelin 295 30 may be a little wider than other brands.
what brand were his tires?

I'm currently running 18"x10" SSR GT3's with 295 30 tires on the rear of my narrow body. I forget the offset at the moment but they are the standard size from tire rack, the tires are the Kuhmo Ecsta SPT. I also have the H&R lowering springs, have not rolled the fenders, and have not experienced any rubbing yet.

Jeff,
I believe they were Toyo RA1's, these were his track tires.

Tough luck on the wheels Chris . . . they would have looked good on a NB 993 (and will do on a widebody) so I'm sure that was a frustrating experience. Nice job on the eBay ad and hopefully everything works out for you.
Kind regards,
