there's good stuff over at pelican about this.

Seems that 3/4 Hole saw around the stud, or an 11/16 socket "hit over" the remainder can work.
Good luck.

I wrestled with one when I was doing my suspension install and ended up taking it to a tire shop. They used their impact wrench and it was off within about 15 seconds...and was free.
If it is the locking lug that broke, you should consider replacing them all with regular lug nuts (that what I did). People don't want to steal my stock Cup II wheels anymore.

Jeff,
I considered the same. I tend not to leave my car somewhere for long periods. It's typically within sight or garaged. I'm always worried that I'll forget the lug nut key on the workbench and then get a flat 10 miles down the road.....

Andreas -
I got 4 of them from ViperBob while doing my suspension install. I learned that once the cap portion of your locking lug nut breaks, it is next to impossible to get the lug nut key engaged on the nut to loosen it with a socket wrench--it wants to keep twisting off. The impact wrench was able to break it free.
Anyway, it would be hard enough for a thief to get a jack under my lowered car.
