Default Water coming in through monoball mount

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have JIC/Cross suspension just put on. Drove home and hit some rain, and when I arrived, the inside of my boot was a little wet (that sounds kinky but isn't meant to be... ). It seems that some water from the spray in the wheel well was getting kicked up through the road.

Has anyone experienced that? Is there supposed to be some sort of cap on the top of the strut/spring? Thoughts?

Jos: Did you see water by the top of the mount or is it a guess? I've not seen any come in through mine and I don't even have fender liners. I might have some pics of what mine looks like that I could send if needed.

Is it possible that the rubber gasket around the trunk is leaking?

I suppose possible, but was wet near both monoballs...seems unlikely.

Hi,
with standard camber plates from the factory there is a rubber gasket
(993.341.511.01) between body an camber plate, otherwise
spraying water from the wheel will come to the small gaps into
the boot.

You changed to monoballs and the rubber gasket will
not be there anymore. If you mount the gaskets, the suspension is not
directly "connected" to the cars body.
