Gemballa wing installed!
Picked up my car today with the Gemballa Wing painted the "correct" silver, installed, and the rear body blended in.
While the car was at the shop, I also had the rear bumperettes (and the license plate frame) painted to match.
I also had the front bumperettes painted. This will hopefully quench the desire to add the Euro Turbo Bumper for a while. I didn't ask them to blend anything in the front - but magically a huge chip at the edge of the front lid seems to have disappeared!
I have many more images of almost every possible view - no I'm not excited and happy about this!

I think you answered all doubts about the bumperettes. They look great! My car is Black Met. so my bumperettes don't need painting. The wing looks very Hot! Chris

Russ,
The wing looks great as well as the bumperettes. Mine is going into the paint shop in the next few weeks for some additonal mods as well. As far as I can tell from the pictures, they did a great job belnding the paint.
Enjoy- JH

Thanks for all the compliments!
I spent most of last night repeatedly going into the garage to check out the car. I'm really happy with the wing and the painted bumperettes.
The thing that has struck me the most when driving, is how I can actually hear the engine so much better with the fixed wing. It’s almost like a different car. The intake trumpet is “on order” and it should be interesting to see if that changes the sounds as well.
troppo - I thought that mesh was OEM. At least it's what the car came with, and no mention was made on the PPI, nor by anyone else to this point, that it was not original to the car. Anyone else have input on this?
jnx - I used Honea Auto Body in Maplewood. And, would completely and whole-heartedly recommend them! They were the first place recommended by Reid Vann. They are not the cheapest, but the work they did was incredible. In addition, the people there are super nice. I barely made it to the shop on Friday at about 4:45pm. Roy informed me that the light bar that had been sent with the Gemballa wing had multiple bulbs that were burned out. He suggested that I come back next week with the OEM light bar replacement that I'm trying to sell. I walked out to my car to drive away, and saw the basket handle with light strip and thought - Hey, why make a separate trip? Roy and Cory (sp?) had no problem finishing the job right then and there. I wish everyone had that kind of mentality!
gordo993 – Remember, you can always dip into your daughter’s college fund now – it’ll give you more time to catch up… Just kidding! The Fabspeeds are still in limbo – when we get them installed we should go for a drive – jnx, or any other St. Louis area Rennlisters up for that?
