Smile Gas Tank Level when setting ride height

I am installing a new M033 suspension ( Bought from Gert) in my 1995 Carrera. I have done a search and can't find any info on how much gas should be in the tank before setting the ride height. I can have as much as a one inch difference in my front height from full to empty. Thank you all for any help......

Well, it depends on how much you want to bottom out if you have a full tank of gas.

Personally, I feel that you should fill the tank and then set the suspension to where you want/feel it has to go to...

Don't forget, If your driving around with a full tank and a passenger you will drop even more..

I would like to point out that I have never heard of an 1" drop for fuel.. are you sure the spring-rate is designed for the drop...?

Brian,
Thanks for the fast reply.... I now have a US M030 ( SUV Ride Height) suspension in my car. I do see a change of about one inch ( Give or take ) from full to empty. I also feel it would be better to fill the tank before setting the height.....

Porsche says to do it (and very importantly, alignment) with a full tank. Many people do it with 1/2 though, because you will more often fall somewhere in the middle, vs. driving around with a full tank. I think the fuel level's affect on alignment is much more important than on corner balance or ride height.

Near or at full as noted above ... the good news is that if you have a 1" drop at the front when you fill your tank, it's definitely time for your new suspension :-)
