Is this similar to the Techart tool (you bolt onto the hub, heat the paint w/heatgun and gradually press the fender lips flat)?
You should consider renting out the fender rolling tool and a heat gun with instructions for say $50-75+fedex to recoup your cost...there should be interest on Rennlist and at that price it makes sense vs. paying someone else or using the old baseball bat. A few people have done this on other car boards and it becomes a win-win for everyone...not everyone want to pony up $350-700 for one of these and it become a good excuse for a fender-rolling-party

Like Mark said, it's a painfully simple thing to do with a baseball bat and heatgun. I did my rears in about 30 minutes. No need to remove the wheels or get dirty at all. More info here:

I've seen it done to many 993's with a maple rolling pin without any paint warmup, other than an 85+ degree day. I've even seen someone do it with an Easton aluminum bike handlebar with no problems.

yes indeed BUT you also have to remove the brake calipers to get clearance for the roller tool to move around...
I'll mention to eric about the possibility of renting it out. He's also already recouped some $$ rolling fenders for someone's Mazda and someone else's Infiniti

well, I sold off enough pieces and parts to be o.k. for a while
...and I'm more actively advertising the Boxster for the moment..
See, I went on this drive from ABQ to Chicago to pick up a friend's new 993 for him and the experience made me fall in love with my own 993 all over again...

sorry everyone but eric said the shop he works at has 'fender rolling' as an option now so he's slowly recouping the cost through labor charges at work (so no renting out.... it stays at his shop)..
