Question Color codes - decoding

I have the original sticker under my hood with codes but not sure which one is the right color code/ and interior color code. And how do I find out what the codes mean.

I already found out how to get the options codes and what they mean, but not the color.

My car is a 97, and I thought the only white color was Grand prix white, is there another white color? I ask this as the touch up paint I ordered does not match.

Glacier White has a bit of a blue cast.

Would L3AU MX be the paint color and interior color codes?

I'm not sure about a blue cast, the touch up paint was a had a bit more cream tone in it than my car, which is a very bright white.

The glacier white has a blue tint and the other white has a yellow tint.

Thanks John V.

It seems that it may be glacier white, as the "grand prix" white touch up was more yellow or cream in in. If you get the chance take a look at your color code and let me know what it is, maybe mine is the same.

I'm wondering if there is a "de-coder" like the option decoder?

Except for special orders, you will find that Grand Prix white is a '95-'96 color, while Glacier White is a '97-'98 color.

GP White, as on my '96, is an "off-white" or "cream white". Glacier White is a very bright, more pure white, which is an odd name for the color if you have ever seen a glacier up close. Some see a blueish tone to Glacier white, but my eyes don't see it.

Thanks guys. Mystery solved, Glacier White, not GP white. I doubt the Porsche people will take back the touch up paint, oh well, at least I can get the right one now.

The interior color code MX, based on other past threads appears to be Classic Grey as well.

Thanks.

After having the 993 in Glacier White I am have a hard time looking at the Carrera White of the 997. I like the brighter white much better. So I gave up on a white GT3 and went with Atlas Grey Metallic. Does anyone have a thought on this color?

I saw the atlas grey on a c4 or C4S at the dealer the other day. Very nice. I like the little bit of blue in it. Good color and not too many others around like it.

I have a reproduction Porsche in slate grey (solid) as well. A very original Porsche color. I would like to see a 993 or 997 in slate grey metallic too.

No paint to sample on this car. To bad; I would have painted a retro color.
