On my OEM **** there is no set screw - it's just friction. Aftermarket (i.e. Momo) ***** with three set screws work okay - you just need to keep it centered as you tighted the set screws uniformly. I had a Momo Combat Evo with integrated boot - it worked fine (and it's for sale). Aftermaket boots will fill the rectangular hole in the console, but won't snap into the edge like the factory boot. I planned to take the ring out of my factory boot and use it to capture the aftermark boot into the console.
