Hi,

Can anyone tell me by reviewing the enclosed photo if this rear wing/spoiler will fit my 1997 993 cab. I have the opportunity to purchase it for 250.00 including the bolts and gaskets. Also would it be difficult for a body shop to repaint it black?

I sort of need a response quick

This info would be very helpful.

It should fit just fine - provided that the car in the photo is a 993.

As for painting, any competent body shop should be able to take care of you.

The spoiler is a RS AMERICA WING with a streamlined Carrera edge. So as a newbie I have no idea if it will fit. The seller says yes, but I only trust my fellow rennlist buddies

The RS America was a 964. As far as I know, the 964 and 993 decklids are not the same.

Also, the style of the wing looks like a 911 turbo replica - from the late '80's.

Andreas is correct; it's not a tail from an RSA. Looks to be a replica 930 wing without the soft rubber edge.

Try calling MA Shaw or Getty Design to see if a 964 will fit on a 993. When I researched this inssue before I bought my 3.8 RS wing, I was told that they don't fit.

Nope, that is an aftermarket 930 tail and no it will not fit your 993 at all

This is an RSA tail(which won't fit your 993 either)
