I'm a little confused-dothese adapt right into the "projector" socket of the headlight unit? I thought that the low beam was H1 there.

thanks!

Yes. They fit directly in to the projector housing. No mods needed. A direct fit. I have put 3 sets in about an hour to do for the first timer.

so I'm clear, once you change out for these headlights, the hi-beam toggle on the turn indicator is in-op? Are the HID's so powerful that they replace the need for hi-beams? I'm a little dubious on this mod, but the dark side is indeed strong....

These typically replace only the low beams

Default HID Issues?

Hello All
I got in on the group buy for the HIDs and have been very happy with them. Just this weekend however, the left headlight clicks off after about 5 minutes of operation.

I have checked the connections and all is okay there. Has anyone else had the same problem? Ideas on cause or fix?

I am going to switch the balasts tonight to see if I can isolate to that.

Thanks....

Jeff

I had to swap things around a few months ago for the same reason.

I had taken the "wedge the ballast into the fender well" approach, and one had dislodged itself, apparently after a spirited maneuver. I set everything back in place, and all was well again.

Hope the ballast swap takes care of it for you.
