Default Info on S Models?

Where can I find detailed info on the 96 through 98 S models? Performance, weight, numbers, etc. Was there a widebody option for those years or where they just the S models?

The only widebody versions--C2S, C4S, and Turbo.

Not everywhere, in Germany and UK also, the 18" were an option, in France Sweden, Switzerland etc, the 18" were standard as in my car.

How much additional weight did the awd add on the 4? How much did it affect performance vs. the 2S?

The Carrera S had exactly 30 kgs more than the Carrera version as per sales brochure. The sales brochure is the only source for info on the S and the 4S, but unfortunately I do not have the 4S brochure to tell you the exact weight. So to say, in my owners manual, they never mention S or 4S weight. I have joined the official sales brochure for the UK. This is why the wheels are only 17" from the factory (17" to 18" weight difference is 1.2 kgs). Performance wise, I have figures that I took from Christophorous porsche magazine.
Carrera S has a 4.91 kg/hp ratio which gets us to 1400 kg DIN weight. (verified in the brochure,
Carrera 4S has a 5.08 kg/hp ratio so the weight is 1448 kg Din.

Still as per porsche christopherous,
Carrera S
80 to 150 kilometers/hour are done in 6.176 seconds
100 to 200 Kph are done in 12.486 sec.
Carrera 4S
80 to 150 kph are done in 7.709 seconds
100 to 200 kph are done in 15.721 seconds

regards

I don't believe that the 4S came with the turbo suspension, just the brakes. I think the M030 was an option, however.

Yes and no,
the 4S as per PET catalog came with either the regular, M030 or M033 suspensions depending on the country of sale.
The 4S and Turbo have exact disc brakes, calipers, but different brake fluid reservoirs, the 4S having the regular carrera one.

In Europe- The 4S came with either M030 or M033 struts.
In USA - The 4S came with either M030 or regular coupe struts
In Europe - The 4S came with a unique 20mm front stabiliser bar and silent blocks (21mm for normal and 22mm for M030 & turbo)
USA - The 4S came with 20mm front bar as the regular carrera (22mm for M030 and turbo)
In Europe - The 4S came with an 18mm stabiliser rear bar and silent blocks (20mm for Carrera S and M030, 21mm for Turbo)
In USA - The 4S, M030 and the 2S have an 18mm rear stabiliser bar, 19mm for turbo.
The 4S came with front springs either marked blue M033 or orange green M030
USA front springs are orange

Europe- The 4S came with unique rear springs marked Pink
USA- The 4S came with gold coloured yellow rear springs, or light blue for M030

I hope I did not miss anything
