Default 2000 996 Cabriolet...worth buying?

I've got an opportunity to buy a 2000 Cabriolet - silver/black with 10kmiles from the original owner - it is in perfect condition...but it is a tip. I don't need the car (have a 97 C4S that hardly makes it out of the garage as it is) but at $30k, is it too good of a deal to pass up?

If it has a clean PPI and no RMS problems, then it is certainly below market. Whether you need it or not is the question, unless you just buy and flip it for a quick profit. Either way, the 996 will certainly make someone happy for that price.

Provided you have a clean Carfax and PPI, jump on it! Drive it this summer, put 5000 miles on it and sell it in October for 35K, easily... If you don't, I will!

don't think it's worth the hassle unless you actually have a need for the car.

I wouldn't consider it if it doesn't have PSM, it would be hard to flip. But at these prices they are getting attractive as track cars!
