Default C2S Question

I'm looking at a 1997 C2s with 25,000 miles. Here are the options:

17 " Cup design
Crested caps
Full power driver's seat
Right power mirror
Lowered by Porsche
Gun metal brake & shift
Am/FM radio
Hifi Sound
Sun Roof

What is the standard wheel on a C2S. I thought it was the 18 inch hollow-spoke Turbo Twist wheels and not 17 inch wheels??

Not sure about what came standard, but mine came with the 18s from the factory....collecting dust in the garage now. :-)

I believe the cup II wheels in 17" with spacers in the rear was standard.

Not only were the 17" wheels standard, but so were the 'gun metal brake and shift.' I'm also under the impression all US 911s came standard with power mirrors (not just one side), a radio and a sunroof.

So the only 'options' would be the
Crested caps
Full power driver's seat
Lowered by Porsche
Hifi Sound

Here in Europe, the carrera S came with standard 17" wheels in germany and UK, and 18" wheels standard in France.

Standard option in france : MSP 408 Techno wheels 18"

The car came with a m033 lowered suspension in all the EU countries unless m030 option was installed. The gun metal was unique to the S model and was on the shift handle, parking brake handle, speedometer rings and the S logo on the engine lid.

While 17s and spacers in back were standard, most dealers quickly realized the popularity of the model and began loading them up with options, including the 18s, when placing their orders for inventory. Most were sold while in transit.

What does "lowered by Porsche" mean exactly?

the difference between the M030 and the M033 suspension.
The M030 is a stiff sport suspension. The M030 springs will make the ride lower and sportier while the M033 kit will lower the car but it will remain comfortable. heights are the same.

The first owner had the suspension lowered when he got the car. I'm having a PPI done this week and the Porsche dealer near where the car is located can tell me what the setup is. I'm waiting for my membership to go through so I can post some pics.

FWIW my "Gulf Spec" option C32 is similarly equipped. If I'm not wrong the M033 spec is 144mm +-10 (front) and 127mm +-10 (rear). However option 408 18" hollow spokes are extra.
