Of course, some states may require amber fronts. This is probably why some cars with clear fronts use amber bulbs - it covers all state requirements.

See you learn something new everyday. I am sure it would have to be a *** of a cop to write you up for clear lamps, but I am sure there are some out there that would. Thanks for the imput. I amy do the clears anyway. I like the look much better.

I wish it was done when you made it to Louisville. As you can see it's not. All in due time. How's the chip repair comming. It can be tedious work.

But don't all of the "parking lights" have to be amber?

This makes sense as it would seem inconsistent to allow white turn signals but require amber parking lights.

Sorry, these are the ones I was thinking of: keeps us from using the Euro tail lenses which are amber:
24600. During darkness every motor vehicle which is not in combination with any other vehicle and every vehicle at the end of a combination of vehicles shall be equipped with lighted taillamps mounted on the rear as follows:
(e) Taillamps shall be red in color . . .
25100. (a) Except as provided in subdivisions (b) and (d), every vehicle 80 inches or more in overall width shall be equipped during darkness as follows:
(1) At least one amber clearance lamp on each side mounted on a forward-facing portion of the vehicle and visible from the front and at least one red clearance lamp at each side mounted on a rearward-facing portion of the vehicle and visible from the rear.
(2) At least one amber side-marker lamp on each side near the front and at least one red side-marker lamp on each side near the rear.

Here's my message on this today on the original stone chip/scratch thread (how do I copy the direct link...the address bar just has rennlist.com?)
-------------------------
Mike in L'ville, I still plan to PM you some pics in the next few days and will contact you about pointers on this topic. The first order of business is repairing my rear spoiler wall so I can drive the thing (getting a few surface marks from it flapping in the wind)!

Some sun would help with the pics mentioned above...it's cloudy/rainy today. Maybe I'll try using a shop light for scratch pics while I'm removing the spoiler tonight.

If you order them, let me know if they are in stock. I tried to order from that place about a year ago and they never got them in stock. I got tired of waiting and bought the Sylvania# 1157A ST, but these give off a blueish tint from behind the clear side marker lenses.
Thanks Joe
