I purchased my 993 about 2 years ago and it didn't have a jack, tool kit, or air compressor. I found a killer little Craftsman air compressor with digital readout etc and I've added a breaker-bar and socket in case of a flat. Still need to get a portable jack though. Wondered what items were left out. No idea why the PO didn't include these but it was a situation where the guy I bought the car from only had it for 2 weeks (buyer's remorse I was told). So I got no tool kit but I did get a car with a CEL for SAI....gee, that's a nice trade-off!!!!

 

p-car.com has a list of toolkit contents. Among other things, you don't have a towing eye or the triple-square to replace belts. You should definitely get those two as a minimum.
