Importing my 993 4s to Germany, this is on the ferry to Rotterdam.

After purchase in Brighton

That's interesting! How did you manage to drive your car home (legally) on British plates? As you know I imported my car recently from Germany, and it proved to be quite complicated to drive it home on German export registration (insured and all). I would have loved to do this, but I ended up transporting it on a trailer the easy way.

Beautiful car, by the way!

The car registered and insured in the UK and only had to send back the license plates. My trip only took 24 hours with a few stops for photgraphs.

Possibly while in the UK the registration is tied to the car itself and not to the owner? I can tell you that when buying a car in Germany (being a foreigner) and wanting to drive it home, things are really more complicated than this.

Yes, a UK guy bought it from Japan and I bought it, sure it's a LHD car, ROW - technically identical with a German 993 4s.



Mileage when I bought the 993 4s

Peter, I bought another car in the UK in 2017 (see pictures, a BMW e30 1993 Cabriolet 320i with 56 K kilometers).
That car was also insured when I drove it home via Dover / Calais.



In 2015 I bought a BMW e30 Cabriolet 325i LAST EDITION in the Netherlands and used my dealer lincense plate.

It's the standard Turbo bumper that comes with the C4S but I added a Turbo S chin spoiler that I bought from Carnewal and RS air intakes from FVD
