Alan, nice to see you haven't lost your sense of self-importance.

Excuse me while I go throw up.

Life at the Tiki (still trying to steal RL members after all these years) must (still) be pretty unfulfilling.

This is what I call art, and no one pays me for it.

Just look at the composition of the background on this one:

EJ,
Did you go to art school or something? I think this picture is a masterpiece.

Forgot about Jean's photochop picture. Not bad, for someone who (I guess) never went to art school.

Kills bug fast. But not as fast as a turbo.
(in case you missed the thread of the same name)

What a cutie, Greg. Even more appealing than the one on the CGT

Greg,

Is that right, droving?

Wow, looking at the pics, I thought she was may be 9, well 9, or may be 3.

Amazing how fast kids grow up these days. My youngun is turning 21 next week.

Can someone enlighten me? I thought "droving" was the ancient practice of driving your cattle to market. What are we talking about in the p-car context?

Dean,

I don't know the origin of this inside joke. But many threads I read contained the phrase: can I 'drove' your car? etc. etc. I assumed there is a story somewhere on the use of this word.

I was merely 'quoting' what Greg wrote (please see his post above). May be other Rennlist Historians can jump in and enlighten us Newbies on this matter.

Thanks.

AWWWWWWWWWE
SHUCKS GUYS.............................

EJ can I give you a spankin'??? It's been a while. Can I, can I pretty please??? Pleeeeeze.........

Can't we all just get along.......

I think I've got the answer!!!! Rennlist and the Tiki are two totally different forums. Both forums have many of the same members. Most of us started right here on the 993 forum on Rennlist. Most all of us have Porsches. The similarities stop there. I've never recruted anyone to the Tiki unless they asked me first or they were a personal friend that I know through Porsche circles and not from the internet. Heck, even most of the "oldtimers" on the Pelican Board started out on RL!

Now back to the RL/Tiki collision. My suggestion is this: PLEEEEEEZE DO NOT mention the Tiki when you are on Rennlist unless you are asking for a confrontation, because you know you will get one. Rennlist is Rennlist and the Tiki is Tiki, and the Pelican board is the Pelican board etc. Belong to them all if you want, just don't go mentioning them HERE. It causes to much friction and then the wars begin. In this world there will always be folks that don't like each other..... with out really even knowing each other..... which is beyond me..... so why start trouble? I also realize that there will always be a few folks that like to stir things up. Just let it go. I don't understand, what's so hard about that? Is it a testosterone thing?

We are adults here. How come this always turns into a school yard brawl is beyond me.

I'll be in the nurses office if y'all need any stiching up...........
JUST KIDDIN'

"Droving" (to drove) originated on what may be the longest thread in Rennlist history.

It was on the racing board posted by the notorious Ghetto Racer. As I recall the title was "Open Letter" (please note I am not saying do a search )

The thread is book length at this point, but very amusing. Especially if you have a taste for an ancient Japanese poetic form.

And so what if it's not a 993. The 997s I've driven were wonderful.

Nanstein castle in Landstuhl. I picked the spot as I try to photograph all my Porsches (that I've had in Europe) over there.

Very cool, Dan

So how many other Porsches have you picked up over there.

Please post them here. I bet I'm not the only one who'd love to see them.
And who cares if they are not 993s. They are relatives.

Dean, I hadn't thought about that meaning of the word. Very funny and ironic in that the person who coined this usage was very bull-headed.

I agree, let's all be friendly here, (no matter what your testosterone level)

And by the way Jomama, I think I'm more afraid of you with a needle in your hand than a paddle.
