The first batch of 39 gauge rings were sent out from Holger (in Germany) on Monday, May 15th. They were sent with insurance and, as Holger just indicated to me, will need to be signed for.

I don't think they can change the signature requirement midstream. However, it might not be an issue is most cases, because they often drop off a delivery attempt slip, which you can sign and leave for them for the next day.

Getting the tracking numbers of all of the packages and distributing the numbers to everyone is a bit rough on my end. Are you willing to wait and see how it goes? If not, I can give you Holger's email if you want to contact him directly.

don't want you to go to any more trouble, Jeff. Was just wondering if tracking details were provided since all shipments are coming direct. I'm fine to hang out and let the process work...but there will be a mark against your GB prowise in the future...lol

You should reserve judgment until you get your rings.

Here is Holger's response:

Hi Jeff,

we use the german dhl service, and yes we have trackingnumbers, but
this tracking numbers dont show the history of the delivery.

The items will arrive in approxx. 3-7 days from date of sending.

If the buyers are not at home, they can pick up the envelope at post
office.
I suspect there won't be an issue and you should be able to get DHL to redeliver if they do in fact require signature.

Well, I have received payment from 6 of the remaining 7 participants. Therefore, as of today, I opted to place the second order for those 6. Holger indicated he will be able to send them out tomorrow (Friday). I will place the final order once I receive the payment.

The final payment was received and, thus, the final order was placed. Everyone's order is now in. A first batch of 39 was sent on Monday, another batch of 6 will be sent today, and hopefully the final 1 set will also be sent today.

Received mine in the mail yesterday (Saturday - 5/21, Boston area). I did have to sign for them and luckily caught the postman before he left the area.

I am really enjoying them so far. I used the sticky wall hanging stuff to put them on. So far they are staying relatively put, but I am not convinced they will stay like that, and may swtich to something else.

Thanks Jeff for putting this together.

Mail lady delivered mine on Saturday, and I had them installed 15 minutes after signing for them! I used a smear of RTV silicone and they all fit perfectly. Some members in the previous group buy had mentioned polishing theirs before installlation, but I like the brushed aluminum finish -- it looks classy and classic.
Thanks Jeff, I hope you don't have to wait too long!
