Impressive and creative work. What did you print the dials on?
There's no printing involve, it's 'cut-out' like a stencil so that the lights will come thru. If you print on it you will not get the light effect at night.

Jeff,
That thing on the right side of the windscreen is for electronic system of road pricing. It uses a dedicated short-range radio communication system to deduct charges from cash-cards inserted in the in-vehicle units of vehicles each time they pass a chargeable point. There is a unit in every car in Singapore.

Awesome work....you have to post more details as to how you cut the copy etc... there's many of us here who are looking to do exactly what you've done. If you're up to doing a few for fellow Rennlisters I for one would certainly be happy to pay for your work. Great to see this sort of creative thinking otside the box!

Many members sent me PM with regards to replacing the dials, here's a few things you'll need to consider:
To cut a copy of the dials in any color is very easy, once you scan it on the computer, you can asign where you want to cut.
The problem is to have it install on the gauges.
If you have not done it before, please don't try.
It is not that easy especially removing the pointers !!
I paid a very expensive lesson the first time removing my 930 gauge, broke the needle & landed up paying US$ 200 to replace the needle.
The Technometer on the 993 cost over US$1,500, please be very careful if you have to do it yourself !!
One more thing which I didn't mentioned in the post, you'll need to replace the bulbs with white LED all directional bulbs which is another big headache. You'll have to DIY solder the LED bulb with a resistor not more than 100ohm (nobody sell LED replacement for Porsche gauges), the LED bulb has polarity, there are a total of 12 bulbs to be replaced. If you use the OEM bulbs, you will not get the blue effect as seen on my pic.
My email is patrick@waggie.com.sg
Let me know if you still want to do it.
Regards,
Patrick
