Arrow recommended OBD reader for 993?

I'm trying to troubleshoot a P1123 code on a 97 993 - car is running a little rich, I think - has a fuel smell when started cold that I don't remember, and that's consistant with the code (oxygen sensing adaptation area 1 lean threshold) - I don't want to shotgun this, parts are too dear, and my current code reader is just that - a simple INOVA code reader - it can read the OBD memory but has no capability to display parameters.

There seems to be a plethor of alternatives, none of which inthe literature seems ideally adapted - there is the digimoto, but it doesn't read out the 993 data "yet", tehre is the unit at OBD-2.com that some folks recommend, there is .....

so, what to get?

and, any hints on what might cause ONLY an 1123 code - leaky injector?

Oh, and if I mess around with the connectors and wires on the LT side of the engine (where the belt breakage sensor is wired), the code will go away for a while and then come back.

I don't want to reset the computer - the last time that happened, it cost me $300 to have the dealer drive it around until the monitors would set - they just did not set in 3,000 miles of "normal" driving and I couldn't pass smog unless they were set.

Looks like this would do the job for you ? I have a "Hammer " but am thinking about getting this kit as a back up .

If you look at http://www.durametric.com/modelfeaturematrix.php, this particular unit doesn't read actual values. I contacted the company (I called them "digimoto" in the orignial post) and they said that they would add that feature "soon" but did not have it now. So, I sort of ruled them out.

OK, Just double checked and they say Actual values on some modules.

Hmm. Just wait and see I guess.

I have been using a product from http://obd-2.com/ for several years. Basically it is a simple software/cable product that uses your notebook serial port to capture data, can check and reset CEL codes, and do live data logging and recording. So you can take your laptop on a drive and have all the data recorded for review later. However it doesn't not have any Porsche proprietary specific codes.
