Hey guys,
Looks like we have a nice group so far. Here are my preliminary thoughts. I am leaning towards Sunday, May 28th, although I just realized it is Memorial Day weekend. It shouldn't be so bad traffic-wise at 7am-8am on a Sunday however.
Since it looks like we have a pretty large CT contingent, I am thinking of having two meeting spots: one for the NY/NJ folks and another for the CT folks. The NY/NJ meeting spot will probably be somewhere near the Palisades Pkwy. We'd drive up and meet with the CT folks at a designated location and then we head up together and eventually end up at Lime Rock for the GT Rolex Challenge/Hemmings Car Show. Racing is not allowed on Sundays at Lime Rock, so there is only the car show portion. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.
If people are not interested in the car show we can end up at a breakfast place close to Lime Rock and after, whoever is interested can check out the show. The show is from 10am-3pm, so we'll have time.
I am just thinking out loud and these are just some preliminary thoughts.
Let me know what you guys think.

Well I was hoping it wouldn't be the 21st because I am showing both my cars at the Cocnours. (See you there). Unfortunatly the 28th is the NNJR Car Control Clinic which i will also be attending. So I guess i miss on both counts.
Hope to see a lot of you at the Zone 1 Concours.

Last year I met a bunch of guys on the Palisaides Pkwy at a rest stop in the middle of the road (it could be accessed from either direction) but I don't remember exactly where it was, I think it was a little south of the Tappen Zee Bridge. It seemed to work for most.

Great plan Arrwin and I should be able to swing the 28th.
There is a center rest stop on the Palisades and it's the only one with Gas and Service. The other one is for visitor info and is just south of Bear Mountain.

Three Wheelin'
I just learned that I have a 4 year-old's birthday party I have to attend on the 28th. There's a chance I can do part of the run early, but I won't be able to make it to Lime Rock, sadly.
