I also recently found that the Safety 1st, Intera seat fits great. Runs about $140, available in a couple of different colors. This is not a booster but a convertible seat that comes with a base that is actually a booster.
You can remove the booster it comes with (and toss it, no way it will fit), strap it down and voila!
Nice seat and fits perfect.

Does that Evenflow allow you to open the top as well (with windscreen off, of course)?

My infant seat is good 'till about 26 pounds. I'd like to avoid the "intermediate" step (and cost) of the slightly larger toddler seat and head straight to a larger "chair-shaped" booster seats, some of which start in the 25-30 pund range.

Anyone had success with any of those? Do you still retain use of your passenger seat?

Mark, where did you find this? I went to the S1st website and they don't offer anything called the "Intera".

I have the Simpson seat by Graco. It fits but how do you lock the rear seatbelt to hold it in place?

That (along with needing a small base) is the challenge with putting carseats in the rear as the female belt buckle is somewhat high and so difficult to get a snug attachement. Some have attached racing harness mounts (BK or Rennline) to the seat bolts and used the carseat's LATCH system to secure the carseat rather than the seat belt.

I use the Mity-Tite to lock down the set belts.

That is what I have done- fits extremely snug and easy to take in and out.

+1 on BK / Latch here. Though he's about to outgrow the Britax Diplomat now...

The other reason I use the Mity-Tite is I could not get the belts to lock to my satisfaction. With the Mity-Tite it doesn't matter, it takes all the slack out of the seat belt. If you check it out it does have some bed reviews, after reading a few of them it was clear folks were not using it correctly. The trick is not to over tighten the belts with it.

If you are going to do the racing anchor point LATCH up grade I would also recommend the rear harness up grade also. I think you can find it on p-car.com. I'm send this fron my gPhone so I cannot easly post the link, I will look for it tonight.
