Default PCA Car Badge (Pics)

I'm trying something new.

As many here do, we like to support PCA and Rennlist with placement of their respective stickers. However, as many cab owners know, there are very few places to put a PCA sticker (or a Rennlist sticker for that matter) on our cars.

So, I considered installing a car badge for two reasons--to show my support for PCA and to be somewhat reminiscent of the older Porsches (i.e. 356s).

Overall, I like it--not too bad.

EDIT--Update--I think I'm going to bail on this. After checking out these pictures for a while and wondering into the garage to take a few looks at it, I think it is too much. At least it was worth a try, even if it didn't work out.

Wow! I can almost see myself in the reflection off the paint! Beautiful car, how about a detail DYI? By the way, I used your engine DYI and it was great. Now, if only I can get the exterior as sharp as yours...

Jeff,

That's an amazing finish you have on that car. Looks awesome, and the ride height sure looks great too.

I am not too sold on the badge though...I think it belongs on 356's. Sometimes less is more...but as long as it makes you smile..that's what counts!

What polish/Wax do you use?

Thanks, cabrio. I'm also not completely sure. One of the nice things about it however is that it is easily removable. Typically these brackets (AFAIK) require drilling to install, however I have used a fashioned backing bracket, so in a couple of minutes I can take it off. I also installed small cork pads between the spoiler and the badge to eliminate any scratching.

Thanks for the input.

As far as the paint goes, I use Zaino by hand. A couple of weeks ago I washed, clayed, and applied two coats of Zaino ZPC Fusion (swirl/scratch remover). I then applied a layer of Zaino Z5 (another milder swirl remover) and finished with two layers of Zaino Z2Pro.

Last weekend, I also applied Leatherique to all the interior leather--Wow, what a difference!
