Great post,

5,5 years with the C4 for me and my feelings are just the same really, it doesn't wear off. I've tried and resist the slippery slope, my mods are limited to sound, 18"s and PSS-9s with sways. I say DO replace your old shocks with stock, M030 or Bilsteins, whatever suits your driving. Even if the old ones aren't worn or leaky they do age and performance deteriorates. IMHO you haven't felt the car as it was intended just yet.

I've been away from Rennlist and the track for a while, but I'm getting back into it. Notably, I've signed up for a track day on the Assen TT circuit in May. That's the Moto GP circuit which is a stone's throw from the office.

Monday I checked out an event by the organiser, and I was really stoked. Just being trackside watching a couple of nice 911's, including a new Turbo, a few 964 RS and some 996 GT3's mix it with Lotus's, track day specials, a TVR and a bunch of beamers released the adrenalin. And there's 8 to 10 of these events from this one organiser between Assen and Zandvoort

Enjoy

Nol

I can't think of a better way to get more bang from a buck than driving this car! Chris

Default I hate reading threads like this

I hate reading threads like this, as its invariably on a day that I didn't drive the 993 in to work, so its a good 18 hours probably til I can drive mine!

Going on six years of ownership.

I still absolutely love the car, I look at as I walk away from it when it's parked.

I've only added a RS clutch. Still the same shocks too but looking to replace them.

Wouldn't want to be without it.

I'm 6.5 years into ownership and like all the others I agree that the feeling never goes away. Most times when I park the car and walk away I like to take a look. There is just something about the 993 that makes it something that doesn't fade with time.

Enjoy it any way you want.

Default I love it

I picked up my 993 at the factory on July 7, 1994. It has been perfect since. One slave cylinder, one AC and chain tensioner and Valve cover oil leak. I have had many offers to buy the car. I love this car with 54K. I cannot affordt to buy a 996 or 997. This is my car to the grave.
