Default Spoiler Noise... still!

I just replaced my spoiler bearing with a sealed one courtesy of Viper Bob (he sent it to me for free ) and instructions at p-car. However, I still have a serious noise as the spoiler is lowered, notably near the end of it's travel. The movement up is pretty quite though. Any ideas?

Thanks

Rob

I replaced my bearing last week and it cured mine - it was like a grinder before. What was your bearing like - was it totally shot?

The only additional thing I did on mine was to lubricate the cable and re grease the rack gears but assume you would have done this as well.

Don't know how to calibrate your noise level, but the cars had noise when moving the spoiler when new, and down was noisier than up, even at rest. Of course on the road, you never heard up, and heard down noise when stopping.

I don't think I lubricated the cable. I lubricated the worm wheel and shaft, but not the cable. Were should have I lubricated the cable at?

I am mechanically challenged. Where specifically do you lub the cable - at the motor and/or withn the drive gear where it connects to the worm shaft. Also, why lube the cabel? How does it cause noise?

Mark,

Got'em... despite'em, I have very precise hearing as to other noises going on. It's bugging me, damn it.
