Rick,
No matter what you read in the paper we have lots of guns here in CA. I have 4 1911's (2 Kimbers, a Springfield Loaded & a Les Baer Thunder Ranch), a Kahr PM9 (back up) & just yesterday I bought a new Springfield XD-45acp Service. That doesn't include my Vang Comp 870 12 ga. shotgun, my AR-15 (pre-ban/grandfathered) or my M-1A Scout Squad and other assorted hunting rifles.

Now, thanks to Dianne Feinstein, Barbra Boxer & the rest of the Dem's here in CA, if I wanted another AR or lets say an M-4 carbine, I'd have to move out of state to buy a new one. That Sucks!

Well, I have a lot of high-cap. magazines, a concealed carry permit and an AR-15. So CA is out for me.

BTW, I was pulled over Sat. in my SC on the way home from the track. I had my P229 in my vest holster, told the cop and he didn't even ask to see my driver's license or CCW. He asked to see my front license plate, which I had in my storage bin, I showed it to him and he said have a nice day. That would never happen in CA.

Don't carry much; a flashlight and tire pressure gauge. Then on me it's my wallet with AAA card and my cell phone.

(Don't know if you want to also consider my CB radio).

I carry more in my daily-driverAudi; above plus an ice scraper, folding shovel, and toolbox with wrenches, screwdrivers, knuckle-buster, and water pump pliers.

Yeah, in CA you would probably end up on the 6:00 o'clock news, because you would have been shot already. And it would have been shown in a HDTV format too....

Hey pops,

Somehow I have a clear mental pictures of you in your 993 with a K-40 CB antenna stuck on the roof.

Then you better get your eyes checked; antenna's fixed to the side glass (rear quarter window), NOT the roof!

Crossman, Waste of Time.

I could join you and bring the trusty potato gun. Now that will clear an alley. And leave behind nothing but moisture and some scattered potato skins

For those of you who carry side arms, do you leave them in your car? That doesn't sound like a good idea.
I very rarely leave my sidearm in my car. It's illegal to carry into a restaurant that serves alcohol in VA, but I bend this law when I'm absolutely certain no one can see my weapon (I don't drink anything when I do this). I think it's silly that folks have to leave their guns in their cars when they have a long walk from the parking space to the restaurant. Now that it's warmer out, I don't do this too much. Otherwise, I don't even care if it's partially visible. Open carry is perfectly legal in VA and I have a CCW permit to hide it if I want.
