I have a 95 993 and would like to replace the exhaust... I know the stock one is super restrictive and am seeking input as to which system to get. I have read a lot about B&B and Fabspeed.
This car is not for the track, but I certainly would like to get some additional flow and power out of the new system.
I would love any input from on personal experiences...
Thanks guys
Derek

Most here would dispute your comment about the 993 exhaust being super restrictive, other than someone trying to sell you an extra 30 hp from exhaust. The common wisdom of the board is that exhaust does not add much HP at all but rather is more of a personal taste thing for more/better sound. That being said, there are lots of exhaust threads. The most popular seem to be RSRs from our own Robin Sun and supercups.

There are a lot of threads on this subject, so you might want to try the search function for:
RSR
Maxflo
Fabspeed
These terms should bring up most of them, including sound clips.

the exhaust not too restrictive, and you won't notice any big power gains, just a nicer sound. If the engine breathed better, the intake and exhaust would come into play - but the weakest link is the head/port design so breathing isn't limited by the intake or exhaust with a stock engine.

You've received some excellent advice here and I'd kindly suggest that you read everything carefully,...

The stock 993 exhaust system is actually quite good and supports well up to 325 HP. As others have noted, aftermarket mufflers are best justified by one's desire for more sound. Real power gains are VERY modest and are the same as the differences between how the car performs on a cold day versus a hot one.
Listen to other 993's and then you can decide which mufflers are going to be best for you.
If you want a perfomance boost though, consider a GOOD chip upgrade.
