I assume the shocks are similar to the 964...I had mine replaced when I got an oil change a couple of years ago....when you open the engine lid with a hot engine compartment, they are so stong the lid openes itself! I assume the gasses in the tube get warmed up or something that makes them so strong to push the lid open once the lock is released... Definitely nice to have them working
