Default AMS Oil

I am going to change my gear oil and was wondering if anyone is using or could recommend AMS Oil for the transmission in my 96 993 C2?

Your comments would be appreciated.

Thanks
Ron

i have not heard of AMS...the factory fill is Mobilube SHC..aka Mobil Delvac gear lube....75w90...available from Lufteknich....the other that has been well spoken of is Specialty Formulations MTL R...if you search this forum using "gear oil" i think you will see a thread dicussing the different opinions. i can tell you for a fact that Mobilube is the proper lube to use for your 993.

Eric,
It certainly is 1 gallon - my order from Lufteknic showed up today.

Thumbs down

Always thought that AMSoil advertising was a crock.

Have 92K miles on my tranny using Mobil 1 75W90.
