Factory Big Oval Exhaust Tips
Hi Guys,
I have a C4S with the motorsound option, factory installed from new, so has the tips, exhaust boxes and intake cover.
I want to fit "big ovals" and have bought a used pair, which I was told were off a C4S, however I have removed my original tips and the "big ovals" don't line up. They have the number EP5110 stamped in the bottom. Are these the right ones, the small diameter pipe that the donut goes round is in the center of the big oval, where as my motorsport tips have this small diameter pipe offset.
regards

pezza if all else fails, i've heard of people doing a little cutting/welding to attach the tips you want to the back end of the piping to the tips you don't want and it works fine. My mechanic did it to his car and got the look he wanted in about 10 minutes - this is all assuming you have enough pipe/everything fits etc . He had aftermarket exhaust but wanted wide oval tips and was able to achieve goal. good luck

Pezza...It sounds to me that you do not have "Big Ovals" for a wide body car but rather a narrow body. My big ovals on a '98 C2S have an offset in the tips from the muffler outlet to the tips.
I don't think a C4S had a narrow body so you may have received bad information on the origin of the newly purchased tips.
Good luck....gary

I think the EP5110 was for the narrow body, EP6110 for TT and not sure what the C4S/C2S fitment number is..
All else fails, you can easily sell these... I really need a set of TT big ovals!! Anyone have a set they'd wish to sell??

Right then it looks as if I was given bad info from the seller, it appears that these are for the narrow body cars so, they are no use to me. I don't want to weld them on, I'd rather get the correct tips.
If anyone wants them I'm happy to sell them on. I'm in England at present, but can get the tips over to California with family in a couple of weeks. PM me with an offer if anyone is interested .
