Default OT: Seinfeld owner premium, Turbo S=$225K

The Boston Globe has an ad today:

"1997 Turbo S owned & still titled by Jerry Seinfeld. Blue Terquoise/Black sport seats. 7300 miles $225K"

I don't know all the current prices on Turbo S' but I assume thats a premium....He could have at least posted it in the RL classifieds first.

Maybe the passenger seat has the aroma of Shoshanna.

What do you want, it's a former Vandalay Company car.

Seriously, I have seen the car when he used to drive it around Studio City while doing his show. I looked at it very closely one day when I was at a former Client's house, Michael Richards. Really an incredible car.

Doesn't Jerry have enough money??? I mean really . . . why is it worth more just because his keester sat in it??? Now, if it was specially mod'ed (not that that car needs ANY mods) . . . well then . . . perhaps. But why should it sell above market value just 'cause Jerry's name was on the title? When I was looking for a 993 cab last year, I came across one owned by Pete Sampras . . . but it was selling right in its price range . . . not as a "celebrity" car. Now don't get me wrong . . . not tryin' to bag on Jerry . . . from everything I hear, he's a good guy. He even wanted to race me once in his orange 911 on the 101 Fwy near Universal City & Studio City when I had my 911SC Targa. Maybe Jerry's just getting bad advice . . . and isn't really "controlling" this sale. But hey . . . we live in a celebrity cazed society . . . someone will likely pay the premium . . . then they can name drop at a cocktail party or two.

BTW -- that is one DAMN FINE looking car. I just asked my wife . . . but she won't let me buy it with that premium.

Scott
