Question Does your rear speaker deck look like this???

I took out the rear deck where the speakers are because I was going to "fix" it. After taking it out it seems intentionally this way. Does your rear deck have a hump between the speakers???

I just looked at mine and it's perfectly flat, unless you mean the curved rear egde where it matches the curve of the rear of the car.

No I mean the hump in the middle of the back (see the image I added a red arrow). I figured this rear speaker deck should be flat but the pad under the middle threw me off. Almost seems that Porsche meant to support the middle(with the yellow foam piece) but not the sides directly behind the speakers? With 10.5 years of sun time the plastic appears to have deformed where there was no support. I just wanted to make sure before I "bend it back into shape".

Again mine's perfectly flat all the way across. When you fix it, I wouldn't bend it too hard or you might break it due to it being brittle from sun degradation.

Good luck with this project..............ZP44

Thanks Zombieporsche44! Its plastic but its not brittle. Not sure yet how I will do it. Most likely heat it with a heat gun and straighten it. Then I will add some foam to support it. I imagine all 993s out there will eventually have this sag since Porsche only suports this deck in the middle.

Thanks again!

Heat gun or let it sit in the window in the sun........I already have enough things that sag......I think I'll add some support to mine so I don't get saggy rear deck as well.............lol
