I am looking to upgrade my seats in my 993 to GT3s

I saw these on ebay

What do you feel is a fair price for these seats, considering that I will still need to purchase the needed mounting rails for these seats?

I would like to give my business to Gert, but due to the poor exchange rate his 993 GT3 seats are almost $3,400. But they do include all mounting hardware.

If they are CF shells then that's a good price, but I query whether they really are CF shells and not GRP...why would anyone paint CF shells? If they are GRP then its not that great a deal and I would pass...new ones can be had for 1300-1400.

 

I would ask the seller to verify that these are genuine Porsche seats and not some knock-off without a TUV rating.

 

I see these all the time for $1300 each - look at Pano ads. I dunno why someone would bid
2350/2600 = 90% of retail for used seats. Doesn't make much sense to me. At that level I'd
just get the new ones.

 

The difference in here (pricewise) is to verify if it is a real carbon fiber shell, I'm not sure if Recaro did these in CF, I don't think so, but I might be wrong, if they are CF, then the price of admission will be way up in there., cheers, Sonny.
