The flight officers tracked the silent signal while requesting ground units to respond to the area of 5700 block of Buffalo Ave. The patrol officers pinpointed the location of the stolen Bobcat to a residential garage. Detectives from CECATS (Auto Task Force) responded to their location and set up surveillance at the location. “Air 11” advised the units that there was a Bobcat in the rear yard at a resident south of the location. The detectives conducted a follow up to both locations. After a consent search, the detectives recovered the LoJack equipped stolen Bobcat (valued at $25,000) from the garage. One suspect was taken into custody 487 (D) PC (GTA) without incident. The suspect admitted to the theft along with the theft of the second Bobcat (valued at $20,000) from the other location. Detectives then took an additional suspect into custody for 487 (D) PC (GTA).
