In short there's not enough margin in these to bother so order away direct.
A GB would save a few dollars- and when I say a few dollars- I do so purposely.

Jeff was the one who helped me- give him a call and he'll hook you up.

Make sure you order the key-head and not a key-blank which is what arrived at my house. After a phone-call, I had the key-head within a week (..still have to send back the key-blank). They are very nice people despite the mix-up on the order.

The hardest part of the conversion for me was removing the original key from the 'switch-blade'. There are three parts which need to be removed, the first two being easy to do which is the 'cap' and 'compression spring'. The 'locking slide' was the tricky part, and that needs to be pried upwards/outwards to release the key.

I hated that switch-blade because it felt so cheap while twisting it in the ignition to fire the car up, I always thought the plastic would crack. Also, it would deploy while in my pocket: Is that a key in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

As my other cars which have a separate locking-module, the key/module is now on one of those clips which I hook onto a belt-loop in the back, and then tuck the hanging key and module into a back pocket. It's very secure without having a key poke a hole in one's pocket.

A very practical mod. I wish now that I could get rid of that immobilizer...
