Having owned BMW's from a 76' 2002 model to current, I have enjoyed each and every one. I currently own 3 BMW's and have had very few problems and most of the problems were covered under warranty.

I would have to say that my biggest complaint would be the service dept. They are not prepared to handle the amount of cars that they are selling.

Scott, how do you like the E90? is that a 330 with sport pkg?

Yes it is a 330 w/sport package. I like it, it is alot different than the E46. It is the only Bangle car I like the styling on (I'll pass on the new 5 series thank you). I'm not that crazy about the run flats and the rain sensing wipers, but I'm getting used to them. Handles great and the power is good.

That's a nice setup you have. You have a huge amount of ceiling space. There's no way I could get a full size sedan underneath the way things are now. The limiting factor for me is the garage door opener itself. I could go manual but an option I'm considering is the wall mounted Dalton unit. I've seen mixed reviews on the mechanics of this unit but they may have them straightened out now. It would give me a lot more flexibility about where I can park.

I had a commerical lift master brand door lift put in- it mounts on the side, and there is a roller spring at the top (You can just see it in the picture) that contains the spring instead of the side springs. The garage door guys re-routed the door rails, and used my exisiting garage door. The commercial lift is overkill for a home, but I had to use it as it was the only side mount motor available- or at least the only one they carried. So, I guess this thing should now outlive me since it's only seeing residential use

Our garage isn't wide for a 2 car, or very deep- plus there are stairs that go into the garage that take up space that you don't see in the picture since I'm standing on them...but what I do have is height. The lift I bought is the "SUV" model, which can lift the car higher than the "standard" lift model.

By the way, that garage door set up I have wasn't cheap (didn't realize how much it would be when I first started looking into this). The whole thing (commercial lift, and all the installation) cost me $1,300. But I "justified" it by the fact that we will most likely live in this house for 30 more years...amazing how good of a salesman I am to myself!

The 1992 MB 500E is solid as a rock at 14 years and 70,000 miles. Almost entirely analog controls (except outside temperature gauge and radio).

On a positive note, our 2003 Audi A8L is a super car so far, with great interior build quality, at 62,000 miles.
1992 MB 500E! Very cool car. The 4 door Porsche!

Anyone here have any experience with the '88 BMW M5? I love the looks of this car.
Is this when you realize you are old? Most the cars I like are older than my daughter!
