I have no hard data, but I'd say it's pretty darn rare. I wish mine had the delete.

If yours has it, I'd say your the first non-RS/other special factory variant one I've seen/heard of.

Looked at a Arena Red '96 in 1998 here in Seattle with the SR delete option. Only one I have seen.

Die Grinder with a cut-off wheel and you can have your own sunroof delete car in an hour or so. Ask me how I know.

Didn't know that a sunroof delete was an option? I think in Europe you had to pay for a sunroof??
I have no sunroof and there is no code in the option list?

Sunroof delete was very rare in U.S. cars. Euro cars had sunroof as an option but many didn't opt for it.

You can't even get sunroof delete on a 997. I know because I tried recently. Yet, Euro cars still have it as an option. For example, a 997S for Great Britain has the electric sunroof option listed at 864 Pounds ($1,500 USD).

Americans always get a little less hard core and a little more bling than our friends in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

I would say there are quite a number of cars out here in Europe that dont have a sunroof. Mine doesn't - thats why I am always so pale

In US there are probably 3 993s without sunroof...
In Europe there are lot of them, but not here where there are way too many pimps.

I was looking all over when I was searching for my 993 but eventually had to give up.

I hate that frickin' thing!

I don't hate my sunroof, but I can say I've never opened since the day I took delivery and that was just to make sure it worked...................ZP44

I love my sunroof. Just trying to even it up here.

And no I'm not a pimp.

I had my 95 993 ordered without a sunroof. I have other Porsches with sunroofs which I rarely use.
I have never seen another one without one. At one event the owner of a 930 told me he had a
body shop close it off and now he loves the new look.

I liked having my sunroof when I drove my car on the road and without a helmet. Although it's no targa, the added circulation and light were big pluses.

For the track, I'd love to get rid of the weight and add some needed headroom.

Don't like my sunroof. Then again, I'm just not an open air guy. I had an SC Targa for about three years. I think I took the top off twice. Too windy...

I have seen a few 993TT sunroof deletes for sale in the last year. Premier had one last summer as well as Willhoit.
