Would you guys mind posting a PROFILE SHOT
and, as a GENERAL point of reference, your
ground-to-fender-apex ride height and suspension setup?
(I know it’s not the shop manual ride height method)
It would be VERY helpful & interesting to see the
choices you all made and the final result.
I read through previous posts last night for 6+ hours,
trying to compare PSS9 with RoW M030/HD with the extra
30 mm of thread. When I started seeing Sine waves
in straight lines, I knew it was time to stop.
FYI:
1. I will be doing virtually no track time, save DE.
(Which would suggest getting RoW M030/HD with 30mm) But...
2. My desired ride height is lower than RoW, but not as low as RS.
All this digging has given me Rennlist Vertigo, so I
will truely appreciate your pics & specs
Thanks,
Barrington
P.S. As soon as my car is delivered (1 week), my very
next step (after wiping away joy-tears) will be to join
the paying member ranks and make an honest man
of myself. And yes, then I will post pics.

As you know, there are a number of threads showing ride height. The problem with comparing ride heights is that not all pictures are taken from the same vantage point with the same lighting (read: shadows).
Once I get my car off the jack stands, I will take my AFTER pictures from my install. I took great pains in setting up my BEFORE pictures so that I can reproduce the exact vantage point for comparison.
As far as getting a feel for heights, I ended up going through all of those threads you mentioned (many months ago) and compiled a document of pictures and noted fender heights. One thing I found in doing so was that the vantage point/lighting had too much of an effect on the appearance of the car--owners that both state the same fender height look dramatically different.
Just an FYI.

I look forward to see these photos - I too am uncertain how low to go -- I like the trailing *** look but I also have to live in the real world of bumps and driveways.
Once again - Great expose ( Its meant to read expose eh ) but I can't find the accent key

my ride height
I have H&R coil-overs (very similar to PSS9's except not stiffness adjustable)... my car has been set to just below ROW ride height, but not quite to RS. I have an FPB and it has saved me a few times, but I honestly do not scrape that often. I have not tracked the car (yet), and I have found the ride-comfort/performance balance to be just right.
For reference, I'm running 225-40 and 285-30 tires on my 18" wheels.

Hi Barrington,
Here are some old pics, but I guess they'll do.
A few notes, though. My driveway is uneven, so the right front corner actually sits a bit lower than the shot suggests, and the left front corner actually sits a tad higher than the pic makes it out to be. If you're interested, I am sitting at just about 25" to the fender lip. And don't forget that cars which sit at the exact same height will "look" lower or higher depending on the rim diameter which will set the tires more (or less) into the wheelwells. A fellow Rennlister's 993TT with 19" HREs (absolutely gorgeous, BTW), for example, "looks" lower than mine, but my car in fact measures lower than his.

I guess I could add to this thread. I'm running H&R Coil-overs sitting at RoW Sport ride height (that's midway between RoW and RS). The fender lip measurement is around 25 inches, more or less.
